Hong Kong-based mobile operator SmarTone has launched commercial 3G services in Macau. The operator’s W-CDMA/ HSPA+ network has been supplied by Nokia Siemens Networks, which offers data transmission speeds of up to 21 Mbps (download). SmarTone Macau was awarded the 3G licence in September 2009.
