BSNL imposes a fresh penalty of Rs 600 million on Reliance Infocomm

BSNL has reportedly imposed a fresh penalty of Rs 600 million on Reliance Infocomm for allegedly routing international long distance (ILD) calls as local calls to avoid payment of ADC. BSNL had earlier raised a demand of Rs 2.63 billion, of which Reliance has paid up Rs 1.82 billion. Including the fresh penalty, the total outstanding amount now stands at Rs 1.3 billion.
