The handset manufacturer, Micromax, has partnered with Aircel to offer buyers data benefits equivalent to the cost of a device.
The partnership is aimed at increasing penetration of smartphones and encouraging the uptake of data services through bundled offerings.
The two companies have extended data benefits on four Micromax devices including MMX 377G (dongle), Funbook Mini 410i, A090 and X070. Subsequently, bundled data offers will be extended to other upcoming Micromax devices.
The data bundling offers on all the devices are valid for the first three months. Under the deal, consumers buying MMX 377G (dongle) can avail of 2 GB of data usage per month. The Funbook customers will have access to 1 GB of free data per month and will be charged Re 1.2 per second for local and national calls. Also, customers buying Micromax smartphones can avail of 500 MB of data usage per month and will be charged Re 1.2 per second for local and national calls.
