Sweden-based telecom equipment manufacturer, Ericsson will set up its second manufacturing facility at Indospace Industrial Park, Chakan, Pune in India. It will initially invest around $15 million to establish the unit. According to the company, the production at the facility, which would be used as an export hub, will commence in 2016.

Ericsson will primarily manufacture Minilinks, which are used for optimising traffic aggregation and capacity savings for the telecom operators. In the future, it intends to manufacturer other 2G, 3G and 4G network equipment at the facility.

At present, Ericsson has a production facility in Jaipur, where it manufactures telecom equipments to cater to the Indian market.
