DMRC deploys 5G in-building solutions at 29 underground stations     

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has deployed 5G-compatible in-building solutions at 29 underground stations, with the goal of upgrading all 69 stations. The tunnel sections require 3300-3600 MHz cards in repeaters for 5G coverage, that are being installed and commissioned, as per DMRC. However, it has not set a finalised timeline for the completion of the entire project.

DMRC has also requested telecom service providers like Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea Limited to provide 5G connectivity at various underground stations.

According to DMRC, it plans to upgrade the remaining 40 stations with 5G infrastructure in the next four months.
