China Telecom Group and Hong Kong-based PCCW Global have launched the first ever private ethernet broadband connection between Hong Kong and China. The service, International Ethernet Private Line (IEPL), is an end-to-end managed bandwidth solution, providing customers with high speed point-to-point crossborder connectivity. The companies have reportedly won some early contracts from US-based businesses for the service.
