The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has examined Attorney General G.E. Vahanvati, regarding the alleged legal advice he gave in his role as the solicitor general to former Minister of Telecommunications and IT, A. Raja in the allotment of 2G spectrum, say news reports.

Janata Party leader Subramanian Swamy, who moved a petition against A. Raja in the Supreme Court, alleged that Vahanvati provided legal opinion on 2G spectrum. Vahanvati has denied the charges.
