Ericsson has been awarded a $30 million three-year contract from Taiwan-based Chunghwa Telecom to provide a metro aggregation network for broadband services including IPTV and e-health. The network will include Ericsson’s Marconi Optical Multi-Service application that improves capacity and network efficiency, and supports time division multiplexing and IP Ethernet traffic. Ericsson will also be responsible for professional services including network deployment, learning services and support.
