Bharti Telesoft has announced a strategic investment of $13.5 million from three leading venture capital funds ?? WestBridge Capital Partners, Sequoia Capital and Cisco Systems. Reportedly, the percentage of stake that will be acquired by the private equity funds could be little over 10 per cent. The funds will be offered the stake through an equity expansion. While WestBridge has invested $8 million, Sequoia and Cisco have invested $3.25 million and $2.25 million, respectively. Bharti Telesoft is a leading provider of value added products and services for mobile telephony markets across the world. In India, it provides services to almost all service providers, including Hutch and Idea.
