Bharti Airtel?s subscriber base increases to 60 million in Africa

Within three years of its operations in Africa, Bharti Airtel?s subscriber base in Africa has crossed 60 million, say news reports.

In Africa’s most populous country ? Nigeria the operator has 20 million active mobile subscribers. It?s combined user base in other African countries stands at 40 million. Of this,10 million users have been added in last 12 months alone.

Bharti Airtel provides its network coverage in Africa in countries like Burkina Faso, Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Madagascar, Niger, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda Chad, the Republic of Congo and Zambia.
