Anritsu Corporation has relased the MT8870A 5G NR Sub-6 GHz software. In addition, the company has released two software packages, the NR TDD sub-6 GHz Uplink TX Measurement MX887019A and the NR TDD sub-6 GHz Downlink Waveforms MV887019A, for evaluating the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP)-compliant 5G sub-6 GHz New Radio (NR) terminals. The software packages will be installed in the MT8870A, which will in turn support fully automatic and industry-fast non-signalling 3GPP-defined 5G NR Sub-6 GHz TRx tests. The new software comes with a seamless frequency band of up to 6 GHz and a 160 MHz bandwidth. It supports 3GPP-defined 5G NR Sub-6 GHz tests without hardware upgrades. As a result, customers with the MT8870A software can easily extend their instrument’s functions to support 5G Sub-6 GHz tests and at the same time avoid additional equipment costs. The MT8870A is a test instrument for the mass production of various wireless communication equipment and modules. The software also supports continuous testing of 4G + 5G + IEEE 802.11ax + Bluetooth 5 functions, thereby helping in optimising production lines and reducing testing costs.
