Airtel Nigeria, a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel, has introduced 3.75 3G services across Nigeria.

According to a company statement, this facility is expected to permit customers to avail of value added services such as live TV, video calls, etc.

Speaking at the launch, Rajan Swaroop, chief executive officer and managing director, Airtel Nigeria said that the telecom firm had raised the bar in its efforts to offer Nigerians innovative and affordable telecoms offerings.

?Today, we are the only operator with five different channels for data bundle activation and our 3.75G capacity is up to 42 megabytes per seconds,? Swaroop said.

Prior to this, the operator had said that it has earmarked $600 million as investment in Nigeria?s mobile market, following its take-over of the country?s holdings of Kuwaiti-based Zain.
