Alcatel-Lucent has been selected by three subsidiaries of China Mobile to provide network optimisation services for their wireless networks in Guizhou, Shanghai and Shanxi provinces.

Alcatel-Lucent has been selected by three subsidiaries of China Mobile to provide network optimisation services for their wireless networks in Guizhou, Shanghai and Shanxi provinces. As per the agreement, Alcatel-Lucent will provide custom-designed service solutions to assist these operators in improving network coverage, performance and resource utilisation. Meanwhile, one of China Unicom’s subsidiaries, Inner Mongolia Unicom, has also selected Alcatel-Lucent to optimise its CDMA network in Inner Mongolia.

The two contracts were secured through Alcatel-Lucent’s Chinese subsidiary, Alcatel Shanghai Bell, and are expected to be completed by the end of 2007.
