Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea have sought an urgent hearing of their review petitions against the Supreme Court’s earlier verdict on adjusted gross revenue (AGR).

To this end, the Supreme Court has asked the telecom operators to seek clarity regarding the listing of the AGR case on January 09, 2020.

Following Supreme Court’s verdict on the AGR matter, Airtel and Vodafone Idea will have to pay over Rs 355 billion and Rs 530 billion, respectively, by January 23, 2020. With regard to this, the two incumbent telecom operators have raised concerns that without sufficient government or judicial relief they may not be able to meet this demand.
