All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the National Communications Academy (NCA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at advancing technical education in the fields of telecom and information and communication technologies (ICT) in India.
The collaboration seeks to modernise the model curriculum for diploma and undergraduate courses and to introduce minor degree courses in emerging fields such as 5G/6G, quantum communications, telecom and cyber security. The goal is to align educational offerings with the latest advancements in the telecom industry.
Furthermore, AICTE will facilitate the creation of relevant educational materials related to all the above-mentioned fields which will be made available on AICTE’s SWAYAM platform.
