Agilent Technologies has posted its results for the third quarter ended July 31, 2012.
The company has registered net revenues of $1.72 billion in the period under consideration, a 2 per cent increase compared to the corresponding period last year.
Net income for the quarter stood at $243 million, a 26 per cent decline, compared to $330 million for the third quarter of the previous fiscal year.
The company’s operating expenses accounted for $1.45 billion, up 3 per cent, against $1.41 billion for the same period last year.
During the third quarter, Agilent had intangible amortisation of $32 million, acquisition and integration costs of $41 million, and asset impairment and write-down charges of $15 million.
Revenues for Electronic Measurement declined by 1 per cent over the previous year, at $845 million and orders for the segment declined by 4 per cent at $811 million for the quarter, as compared to $842 million for the year earlier period.
