• As per Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) data, operators generated gross revenues of Rs 524.39 billion during the quarter ended December 2021. These included unified access service licence, unified licence, and mobile+basic licence holders.
  • Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited reported the highest gross revenue of Rs 203.22 billion, followed by Bharti Airtel (Rs 180.56 billion), Vodafone Idea Limited (Rs 107.74 billion), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) (Rs 28.21 billion), and Tata Teleservices Limited (Rs 4.04 billion).
  • Circle-wise, Maharashtra emerged as the highest revenue grosser with Rs 44.91 billion. It was followed by Andhra Pradesh (Rs 41.13 billion), Uttar Pradesh (East) (Rs 39.16 billion), Tamil Nadu and Chennai (Rs 38.96 billion), and Bihar (Rs 36.21 billion).
  • The least revenue generating telecom circles were the Northeast (Rs 2.85 billion), Himachal Pradesh (Rs 4.26 billion), Jammu & Kashmir (Rs 5.46 billion), Assam (Rs 10.37 billion) and Kolkata (Rs 10.94 billion).
