A Delhi court has asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for its views on a plea made by all 17 individuals involved in the 2G spectrum case to file the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India?s (TRAI) report, which has said that 2G spectrum allocation did not cause any loss to the exchequer.
The Comptroller and Auditor General of India had assessed a presumptive loss of Rs 1.76 trillion to the state exchequer, while the CBI, during its probe into the 2G issue, had pegged the loss at Rs 3.098 trillion.
The court has asked the CBI to file its response by September 9, 2011.
