Arvind Gulati has resigned as head of customer services at Micromax Informatics after spending over two years with the company. Prior to this, he worked at Nokia India. Meanwhile, Micromax has appointed Bharat Malik, head of customer services at its subsidiary Yu Televentures, as VP, customer service. Malik will lead the service and support strategy of both the companies to enhance after-sales services. Meanwhile, Ajay Sharma, business head of the mobile phone and tablet divisions has also resigned just nine months after rejoining the company. Sharma, who led a team of 250 people at Micromax, was looking after the executing channel and retail strategies of the company’s smartphone segment. He headed Micromax’s smartphone business from 2012 to 2014 and later re-joined Micromax from Panasonic in January 2016, heading the company’s India-based smartphone division. Sharma has been replaced by Praveen Srivastava, who joined Micromax from Vodafone India.
