Sandip Das, former managing director of RJIL, and B.S. Shantharaju, former chief executive officer (CEO) of Indus Towers, have joined Sterlite Technologies’ newly formed advisory board. The board will provide strategic guidance and direction with regard to the company’s growth roadmap in the evolving digital communications industry. According to Sterlite Technologies, they will work to create smart broadband infrastructure in the country. Currently, Das is associated with Analysys Mason as a senior adviser. In the past he has worked with RJIL, Maxis Communications and Vodafone, and was a part of the group that founded Hutchison Max Telecom in 1994. Meanwhile, Shantharaju has worked as CEO of various organisations including Indus Towers, the GMR Group and Delhi International Airport Limited. He has also worked as managing director of the Gujarat Gas Company.
