Tektronix has launched the AWG5200 arbitrary waveform generator that meets the demanding signal generation needs with high signal fidelity and the ability to scale up to 32 or more channels with multi-unit synchronisation at an affordable price. The device is ideal for advanced research, electronic test and radar, and electronic warfare system design and testing.
The AWG5200 delivers a combination of sample rate and vertical resolution at a low price. It creates real-life environments based on accurate, noise-free signals and 5 GS/s 16-bit performance that allows for direct generation of signals of up to 6 GHz.
The device allows users to scale up efficiently with any set-up, with up to eight channels per unit, low cost per channel, and multi-unit synchronisation. The fully integrated platform allows for faster waveform loading and cleaner RF performance.
The SourceXpress environment of the device simulates the native firmware of the AWG5200. It works with the plug-ins to allow users to easily and conveniently switch between them. Further, the plug-ins simplify the process of generating complex RF environment signals and modulated radar pulses, helping in iterating through designs more quickly.
