Keysight Technologies has launched new MIPI D-PHY and C-PHY test solutions to help accelerate the development of next-generation mobile and IoT devices. The new test solution supports the MIPI Alliance’s D-PHY v2.0/v2.1 specification, C-PHY v1.0/v1.1 specification and conformance test suite. They consist of the Keysight U7238E MIPI D-PHY compliance test software, the U7250A MIPI C-PHY compliance test software for Infiniium, the Keysight DSAV164A digital oscilloscope for transmitter tests and the Keysight M8085A MIPI receiver test solution software package, which runs on the M8195A or M8190A arbitrary waveform generator for receiver tests.
In order to cater to future testing needs, the Keysight solution can also provide an 8 Gsps D-PHY signal in one M8195A AWG module, and can synchronise two or more M8195A modules to generate a 16 Gsps D-PHY signal. For C-PHY, the test solution can generate up to 8 Gsps C-PHY signal.
According to Keysight, the MIPI test solution helps enable technical innovation in the mobile industry, providing a solution that ensures conformance with the evolving standards and data rates. Further, working with the MIPI Alliance and industry leaders will allow the company to offer a complete solution that covers the new MIPI D-PHY v2.0 and v2.1 specifications, the C-PHY v1.1 specification and the CTS (compliance test software test).
