Sterlite Technologies, via its demerged Global Services Business, in partnership with Dilip Buildcon, has signed an agreement with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) for the designing, supply, construction, installation, upgradation, and operations and maintenance of the middle-mile network under the BharatNet programme for the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh telecom circles (Package 13).
The total contract value stands at Rs 26.31 billion (inclusive of GST), comprising Rs 16.20 billion in capital expenditure (capex), Rs 9.72 billion in operating expenditure (opex) for the newly constructed network, and Rs 383.3 million in opex for the existing network.
Additionally, the agreement will be officially transferred to STL Networks upon completion of the required formalities.
