Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has announced that 70 percent of eligible users in Mumbai are already using its newly launched 5G network. The company, noted that the initial uptake reflects strong user interest and trust in its network. Further, Vi began rolling out 5G services in Mumbai in early March, leveraging advanced technology and equipment through a partnership with Nokia. According to the company, 20 percent of its data traffic in the city is now being handled through its 5G network.
Additionally, Vi, which holds the highest market share by value in Mumbai, is also gearing up to expand its 5G services to other key cities, including Delhi, Bengaluru, Patna, and Chandigarh, with more locations to follow in a phased manner.
