Chip-maker Intel Corporation plans to collaborate with Indian and global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to extend its offerings in the tablet personal computers (PCs) and handset segments. This essentially, means that the chip-maker will be providing the micro processors that power the smartphones.
At present, Intel Corporation is synonymous with laptops and desktops, the company has been a late entrant in the smart phone (processors) category. The chips manufactured by the company will cater to the entry level segment across tablet PCs, mobile phones and phablets (large screen mobiles)
