Sweden-based telecom networking and equipment manufacturer Ericsson is in talks with various telecom operators in India to provide operations and business support systems (OSS-BSS) by mid-2015.
According to the company, the operators are continuously adopting new and evolved OSS and BSS and integrating these into their existing systems. This has helped the operators to better tap the potential in the data segment of their business. Therefore, Ericsson is trying to partner the operators in their operations while consolidating its position in the OSS-BSS market.
In 2014, the company was awarded a three-year OSS deal worth $10 million by Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited. In addition, it also bagged a software solutions contract from the Bharti Airtel, Vodafone India and Idea Cellular.
