Vodafone India has introduced the Vodafone R206Z, a 3G Mobile Wi-Fi dongle for its data customers. The dongle has a data transfer speed up to 21.1 Mbps and is available for Rs 2,399.
The device allows sharing of a single mobile broadband connection with maximum ten users and can work up to 3.75 hours of usage in one charge. It comes with the Wi-Fi protected set-up (WPS) () functionality with WPS authentication, in addition to the regular Wi-Fi based authentication for a secure browsing experience.
At present, the dongle is available for sale in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai and the company plans to launch it in the other parts of the country in a phased manner.
