
According to IHS Technology, enterprises will spend more than $235 billion on cloud architecture and services by 2017 witnessing a 35 per cent increase from $174 billion projected to be spent in 2014.
In 2013, enterprises spent $145 billion on cloud architecture and services. The research and consultancy firm states that enterprises are increasingly adopting cloud services with an aim to create faster, more efficient IT environments to ensure more responsive, agile and successful businesses. Using cloud, enterprises are also looking forward to integrate analytical power of big data, to gain competitive advantages through insights about their existing and prospective customers.
