Uninor plans to expand its network in Maharashtra and Goa. The operator would deploy over 1,000 additional network sites within the next five months, and increase its network coverage in the region by 25 per cent. Following the expansion of its network, Uninor will be able to provide coverage to an additional 7.5 million users.

Further, the expansion would extend the operator?s coverage to an additional 200 towns and villages across the circle as well as strengthen the network in existing towns and villages. This would also result in the expansion of the company?s retail network with over 5,000 new points of sale.

At the end of this phase of expansion, Uninor will have over 4,490 network sites, with 70,000 point of sales outlets, 300 express stores, 1,000 RSEs and about 315 distributors in the Maharashtra and Goa circle. Together, this distribution network would cater to over 10 million existing and potential subscribers in the circle.
