Bharti Airtel has launched ?Africa Connect network? which is aimed at enhancing Africa?s connectivity with the rest of the world and creating additional data carriage capacity in the region.

The network is based on an integrated fibre and satellite network with 42 points of presence in the 17 African countries, where Bharti Airtel currently offers telecom services. The network will be used to offer clients global transmission and IP services such as global leased circuits, ethernet and backhauls, global and regional IP transit and bandwidth on demand etc.
