Telecom equipment maker Ericsson India?s revenue for the second quarter of 2013 declined by 25 per cent to $195 million. As against a total revenue of SEK 1,700 million in the second quarter of 2012, the company registered revenues of SEK 1,279 million in the corresponding period in 2013.

For the period under review, the company registered sequential growth of 13 per cent. According to Ericsson, for the period under review, the business volumes declined for the company as operators continued to invest cautiously due to sustained regulatory uncertainty and weak macroeconomic development.

Further, the company?s networks business in India contributed SEK 484 million to the company?s overall revenue, registering a decline of 48 per cent in the second quarter of 2013. For the same period, the telecom vendor?s support business witnessed a decline of 36 per cent posting revenues of SEK 76 million.
