
China Mobile is planning to sell about 100 million TD-long-term-evolution (LTE) end-user devices in 2013.
To achieve the sales target, the company has strengthened its distribution channels by establishing subsidiaries in 31 provinces. It is also focusing on distributing its products online.
As of October, 2012, China Mobile had sold 41.59 million TD- synchronous code division multiple access-based 3G network handsets. During the same period, the company had 79.3 million new 3G subscribers. The company also has aggressive plans to expand its presence in 4G space. Currently, China Mobile is building its TD-LTE networks in five Chinese cities – Beijing, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shenyang.
