Bharat Sanchar Nigam limited (BSNL) is targeting growth of about 7 per cent over 2011-12 by generating revenues of Rs 300 million in 2012-2013, say news reports.
The operator is undertaking several initiatives to achieve this target. Besides pure telecom services, the operator is examining additional revenue sources to boost its income.
The operator is working towards improving the quality of its existing services and expanding its 14.37 million GSM lines. It has shortlisted ZTE and Alcatel Lucent for the same.
