Reliance Communications Limited (RCOM) plans to lower tariffs in the post-paid segment as well, says news reports.

The operator is likely to introduce tariffs, which are about 40 per cent lower than those being offered by the GSM operators. RCOM is playing the price differential game as it believes that the high-end users and corporates are open to value proposition. According to RCOM over the last decade, other operators have hardly brought in any innovation or reduced tariffs for the post-paid consumers.

RCOM is planning to introduce unlimited voice calls for Rs 899 for its post-paid customers. Additionally, RCOM will offer its subscribers 3 GB of data for Rs 1,499 along with this plan. Besides existing subscribers, new subscribers will also have the option of migrate to these new tariffs.

RCOM?s plans to reduce tariff in the post-paid segment come after company?s recent move to hike tariffs for its prepaid users. The operator had raised its calling rates by 25 per cent.
