Kapil Sibal, Minister of Telecommunications and IT, has restored the telecom portfolio to Gurudas Kamat, Minister of State for Communications and IT, according to news reports.
Moreover, Sibal has asked Sachin Pilot, Minister of State for Information Technology, to oversee the activities of the Department of Posts and Telecom, except public sector undertakings and organisations of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).
Along with the telecom portfolio, Kamat has been asked to oversee all activities pertaining to the Department of Information Technology (DIT) as well, say reports.
