
Ericsson and NSN have been selected by Swedish operator TeliaSonera to provide radio networks for its long term evolution (LTE) infrastructure rollouts across Sweden and Norway. Ericsson has also been selected to supply 4G common core networks in these countries. Though Huawei was the major contender for this deal, it lost on account of commercial reasons, including pricing.
Earlier, in December 2009, TeliaSonera had launched commercial LTE mobile services in Stockholm and Oslo over networks supplied by Ericsson and Huawei.
