Advanced Info Service, Thailand’s largest mobile operator by subscribers, aims to cut its costs by 2 billion Thai baht in 2009, up from an earlier planned amount of 1.5 billion Thai baht, in response to a worsening economy.

Advanced Info Service, Thailand’s largest mobile operator by subscribers, aims to cut its costs by 2 billion Thai baht in 2009, up from an earlier planned amount of 1.5 billion Thai baht, in response to a worsening economy. Another Thailand-based operator, Digital Total Access Communication has also implemented a cost-efficiency programme targeting cost savings of 5 billion Thai baht in 2009 and 2010.
