NSN has won an open bid to supply IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) networking equipment to Chunghwa Telecom for NT $1.02 billion.

NSN has won an open bid to supply IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) networking equipment to Chunghwa Telecom for NT$1.02 billion. NSN’s bid value is only 68 per cent of Chunghwa Telecom’s original budget of NT$1.5 billion for the IMS project.

The project, however, is subject to approval from Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC), and NSN is obliged to complete work within 180 days of receiving NCC approval. Chunghwa plans to complete its entire IMS network within five years at a total cost of NT$9 billion.
