Sony Ericsson has agreed to sell 50 per cent stake in UIQ Technology, a mobile software technology company, to Motorola.

Sony Ericsson has agreed to sell 50 per cent stake in UIQ Technology, a mobile software technology company, to Motorola. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed. After the sale, UIQ Technology will be governed by a board comprising Sony Ericsson and Motorola executives. Sony Ericsson had acquired UIQ from Symbian, a company in which Nokia Corporation has 47.9 per cent stake.
