The first ever direct fibre link between India and Pakistan through the Wagah border has been delayed due to disagreement over pricing and revenue sharing. The companies involved on both sides were to receive a share of the revenue under a commercial agreement, in which the government of neither country was to interfere. According to sources, the two countries have almost completed the infrastructure development needed for laying the fibre link on both sides of the border, but the testing and commissioning could take time due to continuing talks on its commercial benefits to both parties.
