BSNL has tied up with the Essel Group’s Digital Media Convergence Limited (DMCL) to launch a mobile TV applica tion service, ISEE.

BSNL has tied up with the Essel Group’s Digital Media Convergence Limited (DMCL) to launch a mobile TV application service, ISEE. ISSE will enable BSNL’s mobile subscribers to watch TV on their mobiles. ISEE is powered by technology provided by the Czech Republic’s U-Turn Media Group with content being offered by the Zee Group. In the first phase, the ISEE service will be provided only in north India; it will be offered to customers across the country by end-2007. The service will be provided free for the first 30 days and thereafter at a charge of Rs 150 per month.
