
ZTE Corporation has restructured its India operations senior management team. The Chinese equipment maker has roped in local Indian talent for key top-level positions, as it looks to ramp up growth in the country. With this, ZTE’s Indian workforce strength now stands at 90 per cent of its total strength of over 3500 employees in the country.
?At ZTE India, we are now at a stage where we want to take the company’s growth story to the next level and we felt it imperative to reorganise the top management team with local Indian talent as we focus on consolidating our presence in India. These appointments also demonstrate ZTE’s commitment to localisation in the Indian market as it looks at building a strong and capable top management team to take on the challenges of the future.? said Cui Liangjun, CEO, ZTE India.
?Going forward, we plan to further add to our local talent pool by hiring over 100 more employees to strengthen our enterprise and terminal sector team,? he added.
As a part of the new top-level management team, Yotesh Sharma has joined as the sales head for ZTE India.
Prior to this, Sharma worked with Huawei and in his new role, he will head ZTE India’s sales function across all existing and new product lines.
Kapil Ahuja has been named as the chief technical and marketing Officer for ZTE India. He joins ZTE from Nokia Siemens Networks. In his new assignment, Ahuja shall be responsible for identifying ZTE India’s long-term vision and will play a key role in defining the overall company strategy.
The company has also named Shuktij Singh as senior vice president, Indian Engineering Service Centre. Singh was also earlier in NSN. He will be responsible to turn around the service and delivery of ZTE equipment and Network Operations Centre.
Pradeep Kumar Yadav has been appointed as the chief information security officer. He joins ZTE from Videocon Telecommunications, where he served as the corporate vice president. Yadav will focus on implementing and deploying ZTE’s IT framework across telecom operators.
