China-based telecom equipment and systems company, ZTE Corporation has introduced the V5 smartphone at a price of Rs 10,999 in the Indian market. The V5 smartphone will be available only on Snapdeal.  The ZTE V5 runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and uses the company’s Nubia 2.0 UI.

The smartphone features a 5 inch HD IPS display with OGS and Dragontrail Glass and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. It has 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32 GB via micro SD card.

Further, V5 has a 13 MP primary Sony Exmor CMOS sensor camera with LED flash along with a 5 MP secondary camera with BSI sensor. The connectivity options for the smartphone include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, Glonass, A-GPS and 3.5mm audio jack.

With the launch, ZTE is planning to focus on mobile devices in the range $ 100-200 in the Indian market. Along with building on its brand value, the company will launch 4-5 new handsets through e-commerce companies and 3-4 devices through retail network.
