Norway-based Telenor has scrapped the proposed 12 billion kroner rights offer to fund its acquisition of 60 per cent stake in Unitech Wireless. It will now fund the deal through a combination of cash and issuance of additional debt. Telenor has stated that it recently obtained a three-year 8 billion kroner loan, which could be used to fund the Unitech deal.
