ZTE has posted its first-half year financial results.
The company registered a 26.6 per cent increase in its net profit to 310 million yuan ($50.6 million). However, revenues for this period declined by 11.9 per cent to 37.58 billion yuan.
Domestic businesses accounted for 50.1 per cent, or 18.82 billion yuan, of ZTE’s overall operating revenue for the period under consideration. This has been attributed to 4G rollout projects and the Broadband China infrastructure plan.
Product category-wise, the company registered operating revenue of 19.05 billion yuan in its carrier network gear division, 12.46 billion in its terminals business (including smart devices), and 6.06 billion for telecom software systems and services.
