Yotta Infrastructure is planning to double down on India’s artificial intelligence (AI) drive with a new $1.5 billion investment to acquire an additional 8,000 Nvidia graphics processing units (GPU). This comes alongside its ongoing deployment under the central government’s IndiaAI mission.

Additionally, Yotta has nearly completed deploying the first batch of 8,000 GPUs. These have been allocated to AI startups, such as Sarvam AI and Soket AI, which aim to build sovereign large language models (LLM).

Further, the second batch of another 8,000 GPUs has already been ordered and is expected to be put to use by December 2025 or early 2026.
