Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) has earmarked Rs 11.45 billion as capital expenditure for 2011-12. This amount is to be invested in launching new services and upgrading its network.

Also, the operator expects revenues from leasing services to grow to Rs 500 million in 2011-12, from Rs 90 million last fiscal.

The company is targeting Rs 250 million each from Mumbai and Delhi through leasing of its spaces. MTNL is also in talks with various private operators to permit roaming access on each others’ networks for 3G customers.
