The handset has a 40+20+8 megapixel rear camera and a 24 megapixel front camera. It is equipped with a 4,200 mAh battery and is powered by a Kirin 980 octa-core (2×2.6 GHz + 2×1.92 GHz + 4×1.8 GHz) processor. The device comes in two variants in terms of RAM and storage – 6 GB RAM with 128 GB of internal storage and 8 GB RAM with 256 GB internal storage. Oppo’s sub-brand Realme has launched the Realme U1 smart­phone. It features a 6.3 inch display with a screen resolution of 1080×2340 pixels. The handset comes with a 13+2 megapixel rear camera and a 25 megapixel front camera with artificial intelligence (AI) facial detection. It is equipped with a 3,500 mAh battery and powered by Mediatek’s Helio P70 2.1 Ghz octa-core processor. The device provides 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 256 GB via a microSD card. It runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo OS. The phone is priced at Rs 14,499.

Vodafone India is offering 100 per cent cashback on select prepaid recharge plans. Subscribers using unlimited prepaid recharge plans of Rs 399, Rs 458 and Rs 509 will be eligible for this offer and can avail of it via the My Vodafone app. The cashback will be provided in the form of Rs 50 vouchers. These vouchers could be used during the next recharge.

Idea Cellular has launched a prepaid plan worth Rs 189. Under this plan, customers will get 100 SMSs per day, unlimited voice calls (capped at 250 minutes per day and 1,000 minutes per week) and a total data benefit of 2 GB. Once the fair usage policy limit has been exhausted, the users will be charged from their talk time balance. The plan has a validity of 56 days.

Bharti Airtel has launched a new prepaid plan worth Rs 23, which would increase the account validity of the user by 28 days. Under this extended validity, users will be charged up to 2.5 paise per second for voice calls, Re 1 per message for local messages and Rs 1.50 per message for all messages sent to national networks. However, this plan does not offer any data benefit.

Bharti Airtel has launched five new smart recharge prepaid plans at Rs 34, Rs 64, Rs 94, Rs 144 and Rs 244. The Rs 34 plan offers 100 MB data and talk time worth Rs 25.66 with outgoing calls at 2.5 paise per second; the Rs 64 plan offers 200 MB data and talk time worth Rs 54 with outgoing calls at 1 paisa per second; the Rs 94 plan offers 500 MB data and outgoing calls are charged at 30 paise per minute; and the Rs 144 plan offers 1 GB 3G/4G data and talk time of Rs 144 with outgoing calls at 30 paise per minute. Finally, the Rs 244 plan offers 2 GB of 3G/4G data with outgoing calls charged at 30 paise per minute. The Rs 34, Rs 64 and Rs 94 plans come with a validity of 28 days, and the Rs 144 plan has a validity of 42 days and the Rs 244 plan of 84 days.

Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) has partnered with Lava to launch an offer for the Lava AI feature phone owners. Under this offer, all Lava A1 users will get unlimited talk time for three months and 100 SMSs per day from both Vodafone India and Idea Cellular. To avail of this offer, Lava A1 users will have to recharge their Vodafone or Idea numbers for Rs 348 with a validity period of 84 days. The first-time users of Vodafone or Idea will have to get a first-time recharge of Rs 351 to avail of this offer. This scheme will be valid till March 31, 2019.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has extended its bumper offer till January 2019. Under the extended offer, the operator will provide 2.1 GB of additional data per day to its users. For new BSNL customers, the revised offer will be applicable on five unlimited plan vouchers priced at Rs 186, Rs 429, Rs 485, Rs 666 and Rs 999. Meanwhile, existing BSNL subscribers will be able to avail of the revised data offer on five unlimited special tariff vouchers worth Rs 187, Rs 333, Rs 349, Rs 444 and Rs 448. The company has also extended this offer to the Rs 1,699 and Rs 2,099 plans, offering 2.21 GB instead of 2.1 GB additional data per day
