Wataniya Telecom Maldives has signed a 15-year licence agreeW ment with the Telecommunication Authority of the Maldives (TAM) to provide wireless voice and data services utilising GSM frequencies in the 900 MHz band. The company will make an investment of more than $40 million in network build-out and intends to provide full coverage within six months.
