Vuclip has acquired the Jigsee?s core assets. This acquisition is expected to provide Vuclip access to Jigsee?s proprietary video streaming technologies and its team of application developers.
Also, the deal is expected to help Vuclip strengthen its position in the Indian, the Middle Eastern and the South East Asian markets.
Commenting on the acquisition, Nickhil Jakatdar, chief executive officer, Vuclip, says, ?Consumers in emerging markets are more often than not using low-cost smartphones, such as the Asha series from Nokia or Android devices from Samsung, on constrained networks. For the mobile ecosystem, it?s a huge audience to tap.”
